Vance, engaged in a shocking shouting match with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office. The encounter, which started with formal pleasantries, quickly devolved into a heated confrontation, leaving the United States’ commitment to its Ukrainian ally in question.

The meeting, intended to solidify American-Ukrainian relations and discuss a potential minerals deal, instead became a battleground for Trump’s increasingly pro-Russian stance. Democrats swiftly condemned Trump’s behavior, with Congressman Herb Conaway stating on X (formerly Twitter):
